#3 Crystal Palace should do well this season
This might be a confusing thing to say after a 4-0 defeat, but Crystal Palace have been extremely impressive this season. Roy Hodgson and his side beat Manchester United in their first game and put up a good fight against the in-form Everton. They put up a good and solid performance in the first half in this one as well and slowly grew into the game but Chelsea flipped the switch in the second half.
With first-team players like Gary Cahill and Patrick Van Aanholt almost ready to come back, Palace will be a tough side to beat this season.
#2 Timo Werner still waiting for that goal
There was a moment where every Chelsea fan wanted Jorginho to give the ball to Timo Werner and let him take the second penalty. All because everyone in that blue camp wants Timo Werner to get his first Premier League goal.
The German star has been very impressive since joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig. His defensive work-rate has been phenomenal and he has also won 2 penalties for Chelsea this season in the league. Werner struggled to exert his presence on the game tonight though and looked less threatening as the game went on.
The 24-year-old scored a cracking goal against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup but is still to find the net in the league. The German international scored 28 goals in Bundesliga last season but will have to wait a little longer to get his first goal in the English Premier League.
#1 Calum Hudson-Odoi is here to stay
Calum Hudson-Odoi is always in the spotlight for something or the other. Today though saw a brilliant display by the Chelsea winger who is still just 19. Bayern Munich have been very vocal about Hudson-Odoi and how they would love to have him at the Allianz Arena.
There is no doubt about his talent and Frank Lampard was full of praise for the Englishman. The Chelsea manager mentioned that he was more aggressive and direct in the second half, and that's where he is most dangerous.
Frank Lampard had another amazing news for Chelsea fans where he mentioned that Hudson-Odoi is 100% part of his plans this season. This could be the breakthrough season for the Chelsea Academy star.
