Chelsea fans seem to agree that Patrick Bamford is a striker to make note of, one of those for the future who has performed well consistently out on loan in the English Championship for the last two seasons.
He is set to spend the next season on loan at Crystal Palace in the Premier League for the first time in the 21-year-old’s career. His pre-season with the club started off with a couple of appearances that lasted close to 45 minutes, some slightly over but he didn't score for the Eagles till they came up against Bromley.
Bamford started the game and Crystal Palace were 4 goals to the good at half-time and the Chelsea loanee had a hat trick of goals. The youngster was substituted at half-time as the Eagles went on to win the game 6-0 and he made quite a case for Palace manager Alan Pardew to put his faith in him for the upcoming season.
The youngster was voted the Championship’s Player of the Year last time around and if he manages to put in a similar campaign int he Premier League, it would be incredibly difficult for Jose Mourinho to keep him out of the Chelsea first team.
