David Luiz, Jon Obi Mikel and Oscar return for Chelsea vs. Galatasaray

Chelsea have been dealt a slice of good news ahead of their Last 16 Champions League tie with Galatasaray as a trio of key players are passed fit to make the trip to Turkey.

David Luiz, Jon Obi Mikel and Oscar have all given Jose Mourinho a boost as the trio have been declared fit to face the Turkish giants in the first leg of the knockout stages.

Luiz and Mikel missed the Blues’ 1-0 win over Everton on Saturday and Oscar hobbled off in the second half with an ankle injury, but all three are likely to feature on Wednesday night.

Chelsea face the Turkish Super League champions in the Turk Telecom Arena on Wednesday but will be without January signings Nemanja Matic and Mohammed Salah, who are both ineligible having featured earlier in the tournament for Benfica and Basel, respectively.

Chelsea topped their group with a record of four wins and two defeats, while Galatasaray crept into the knockout stages edging out Juventus with a dramatic 1-0 win in the final group game.

The Blues will come up against former hero Didier Drogba, who is said to be ‘excited and nervous’ for the game, according to Frank Lampard.
