Pune City’s search for a midfielder might come to an end as they are all set to rope in either Chelsea legend Eidur Gudjohnsen or Manchester United loanee Anderson, confirms Goal.
If either of the two midfielders are on their way to India for the Indian Super League, it will only be on a loan basis.
Brazilian midfielder Anderson, who is on loan at Fiorentina from Premier League side Manchester United is strongly linked to a move to Pune FC which is partly co-owned by Fiorentina themselves.
"He could be roped in depending on whether his contract allows him to play for a club partly owned by Fiorentina itself," a source told TOI.
Gudjohnsen, who has won league titles with Chelsea and Barcelona, was earlier rumoured to have been in contact with Mumbai City FC, but talks broke down eventually.
