Chelsea are preparing a move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, with the Chilean’s current deal set to expire at the end of next season. Arsenal have been negotiating the player’s new contract at the Emirates for some time now, however, both the Gunners’ and the player’s representatives have been locked in a stalemate regarding wages.
Sanchez is currently receiving £130000 a week and reports suggest that clubs from china are willing to pay the player a weekly wage of £400000, a fact that the Chilean’s representatives are using as leverage against Arsenal.
With the negotiations hitting a roadblock, Chelsea are ready to try and take advantage of the situation. The Blues are huge admirers of the forward and they believe that the Chilean will make an ideal partner for Diego Costa in the front line at the Bridge. Sanchez and Costa are currently the joint top scorers with 11 goals each in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old joined Arsenal in July 2014 from Barcelona in a deal worth £31.7m. A quick, creative and hard working player with an eye for goal, Sanchez is known for his energy and skill.
A versatile player who can play anywhere along the front line, the Chilean International has often been deployed as a supporting striker, as a winger and even as an attacking midfielder. A technically sound player, Sanchez is agile and speedy, which allows him to dribble past opponents with feints and quick changes of pace.
If reports in the Mirror are to be believed then Chelsea and other big clubs have not yet made an official offer for Sanchez, however, they will be making a bid as soon as they are made aware of his contract situation.
The current situation in the Emirates, involving two of its superstar players, Sanchez and Ozil, is attracting interest from top European clubs. The duo, are holding out for wages of approximately £300000 which is double of what they currently earn. If Arsenal do eventually cave in to their demands, it would cost them approximately £312m in wages which will be a first for the club.
