Valencia FC midfielder Sergio Canales states that Oriol Romeu is willing to join the Spanish club on season-long loan. Rumours were that Chelsea are willing to send Romeu out on loan with the midfielder having limited first-team opportunities at the London club.
The 21-year-old was linked with a move to La Liga club Celta Vigo ,but Valencia now seem to be the favourites to bag Romeu.
Canales, who was team-mates with Romeu at the youth level for Spain, said: “I have spoken with Oriol and I say sincerely that he is very taken by the option of Valencia,” Canales told Superdeporte. This squad is perfect for a player to progress.”
