Chelsea News: Vincent Kompany backs Lampard at Chelsea
Kompany, 33, left Manchester City last month to answer a plea for help at his boyhood club, which had a dismal 2018-19 campaign to miss out on European qualification for the first time in 56 years.
When questioned about the allegedly imminent appointment of Frank Lampard as the new man in charge at Chelsea, Kompany gave the former player a ringing endorsement.
"Frank? Yes, sign him up. He's the man," he replied, adding that he considered Lampard a "natural" fit for the manager's role at the London club.
