Besiktas set to complete a last minute deal for Diego Costa

With Fenerbahce calling off their pursuit of the estranged Chelsea striker Diego Costa on deadline day, Besiktas are ready to pounce on the chance to take Costa on board. The Daily Express has revealed that Besiktas will sign Costa on a six-month loan spell with Chelsea desperate to offload the striker who does not feature in manager Antonio Conte's plans.

Julian Draxler wanted to join FC Barcelona

Despite being heavily linked with Arsenal on 31st August, Julian Draxler secretly wanted a move to FC Barcelona this season. Mundo Deportivo claims that Draxler was holding out for an offer from the Catalans which did not arrive as a result of the Spanish club's obsession over Philippe Coutinho. It is also believed that Draxler's agent, Roger Wittmann travelled twice to Spain to offer his client to Barcelona.
