Chelsea could be set to increase their midfield options with the signing of Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco.
The Daily Express report that Real Madrid want to sign the Blues’ midfielder Ramires for around £25 million. In order to push through the deal Madrid are reportedly ready to include either Isco or Sami Khedira in the bid.
Whilst the London club are unwilling to allow the Brazilian to leave Stamford Bridge they were alerted by the news that Real were willing to include Isco in the deal.
The Spanish midfielder enjoyed a strong start to his career with Madrid after moving from Malaga last summer scoring four goals in his first five games. However later on in the season the form of Angel Di Maria and Gareth Bale meant that Isco didn’t feature as regularly.
Isco was named as part of Spain’s 30 man preliminary squad for the World Cup but he was one of the seven who were cut by Vicente Del Bosque.
Whether or not Isco would be receptive to the move is unclear at the moment but if Jose Mourinho can offer him more game time at Chelsea then he may be persuaded to leave Real Madrid.
However it also seems strange that Chelsea would want to bring another attacking midfielder into the club given that they already have Eden Hazard, Oscar, Willian and Andre Schurrle.
