Chelsea’s appeal against two-window transfer ban to be heard by CAS on Wednesday

Chelsea's appeal to get their two-window transfer ban overturned will be heard at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland on Wednesday, it has been announced.

The Blues are unlikely to hear the court's decision until December

The west London giants are unable to make any signings until February 2020 after they were found guilty of breaching Article 19 of its regulations on the status and transfer of players (RSTP), which deals with the recruitment of minors. The club were also fined £460,000 as part of the disciplinary process.

Chelsea failed to overturn the FIFA's decision with their first appeal back in April but have now taken their case to CAS with the hopes of being able to make signings in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to The Guardian, the Court of Arbitration for Sport will hear the Blues' appeal on Wednesday but an immediate ruling is unlikely to take place as the arbiters will take time to deliberate on their decision.
