He played 11 matches in the Champions League that season and also started in the finals. He was the one who kept Ribéry silent throughout the game.

The historic debut

The only player to have made his Champions League debut in the finals, Ryan Bertrand. He was called on by Roberto Di Matteo as Ramires was suspended for the finals.

Despite things looking promising for him at Chelsea, Di Matteo's sacking changed everything for him. He was loaned out to Aston Villa and Southampton before he was sold to the Saints in 2015.

He has made the left back spot his own at the club. He's being tipped with a move back to Chelsea this summer while Liverpool are also said to be interested in signing him.are also said to be interested in signing him.

Paulo’s new role

One of Jose Mourinho's first signings at Chelsea but did not make it to the level he was tipped for. He was at Stamford Bridge for nine seasons but played just 141 times for the club - 2 of those were in that Champions League that season.

Managers came and went at Chelsea, but Paulo Ferreira remained on the bench. He retired after the season ended and now works for Chelsea as an ambassador and assistant loan player technical coach.
