#22 - Fernando Torres
Chelsea's club record signing is also known as their biggest flop ever. Fernando Torres did all he could to get back his Liverpool form at Stamford Bridge but failed.
He spent 2.5 seasons at Chelsea before he was loaned out to AC Milan. Things did not go well there as well, and he ended up re-joining his former club, Atletico Madrid in 2015.
He still plays for the Spanish side but is out of contract this summer. He has no plans of retiring and is expected to move to MLS.
#23 - Salomon Kalou
The Champions League final in 2012 was Kalou's last game for Chelsea as well. He started the game for Chelsea and came off in the 84 minute for Torres, the star who won the corner that resulted in Drogba's equaliser.
He moved to Lille for two seasons and then joined German side, Hertha Berlin. He played regularly for Lille and scored 30 goals in 67 matches.
At Berlin, he's continued his fine form. He's scored 25 goals in 70 games and is playing regularly for them.
#24 - Daniel Sturridge
Daniel Sturridge might have been just hitting his peak at that time, but he still managed to play seven Champions League matches that season. He failed to hit the net even once in those matches, and Villas-Boas lost faith in him.
He was sold to Liverpool in January 2013 and formed a formidable partnership with Luis Suarez. The duo almost won the title for Liverpool but failed at the very end.
Suarez' departure ended Sturridge's Fairytale run as well, and he's been injured more often than not in recent times. Even when he's fit, Klopp has preferred to start Origi over him. He's reportedly set to leave the club this summer and join West Ham United.
#25 - Nicolas Anelka
Just like Alex, Anelka also started the season at Chelsea but wasn't a part of the squad when they won the Champions League. He played 4 group stage matches but failed to score even one goal.
He joined Chinese Super League, Shanghai Shenhua and then moved to Juventus on loan months later. He then returned to the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion before joining Indian Super League side, Mumbai City. He now manages the Indian Super League side as well.
