Finishing Woes
Throughout the season, Chelsea has managed to create numerous chances but have failed to put them into the back of the net. The midfield has lacked goals as the likes of Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic have not been able to do much in the opposition box. Jorginho was never expected to score goals and Kante's finishing has improved by miles but is still a work in progress.
The fullbacks at Chelsea aren't providing too many assists and the frontline rely too much on Eden Hazard. Willian and Pedro work quite hard but just aren't at the required level when you compare them to the likes of attacking prowess even on the bench for teams like Manchester City.
Gonzalo Higuain hasn't scored often, even though he did last night, and is too slow for the Premier League. Olivier Giroud is in amazing form but has only played on Thursday nights.
Chelsea needs to start being clinical in front of the goal. The Blues took 22 shots yesterday and only 9 were on target. What is further astonishing is that only 2 shots ended up in the back of the net. Further, Chelsea only forced the Burnley keeper into only 2 decent saves in the second half when they were chasing the game.
