Premier League giants Chelsea are all set to hijack Tottenham Hotspur’s bid for Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Willian, according to Sky Sports.
The Brazilian has been largely linked with a move to Spurs, after the latter made a £30m offer for him. However, Chelsea have now joined the race and are looking as favourites to land the talented 25-year-old.
Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas said, “We were just involved in a game so unfortunately I can’t give you further information.
“I confirmed our interest in the player. Everything is possible, but I’m not aware of the circumstances because of our involvement in the (Dinamo) game.
“I don’t want it to be a distraction over what we achieved here tonight.”
