Atletico Madrid Filipe Luis’ agent has confirmed that English Premier League side Chelsea are interested in signing the Brazilian, however, admits that Atletico Madrid are not willing to sell the player.
"The interest is there, but Atletico don't want to sell," Garcia Quilon, agent of Filipe Luis was quoted by Goal. “They want to keep every player they can for next season.”
“Then, we'll see what's happening with different players, but Atletico don't have any intention to sell anyone," he added.
When asked about his future last week, Luis said recently, "I have a contract for three more years. My thought is to continue. We have to lift our heads high after the Champions League final defeat and think about the next goal.”
Luis has a £19.5m buy-out clause in his contract, and Chelsea will have to come up with an offer around that region if they want to acquire Luis’ services in the summer.
Luis, 28, who has made 48 appearances this season for the Rojiblancos, helping them win their first La Liga title in 18 years has been tipped to replace out-going Ashley Cole whose contract expires at the end of the season.
