Chelsea 'target' hires same agent as Mourinho

Eliaquim Mangala is a name that most Chelsea fans would have heard of recently as he was linked with a move back in the summer transfer window from Porto. However, nothing materialised and the defender remains at the Portuguese club.

Chelsea and Manchester City were both linked with Mangala but the 22 year old has a whopping 50 million Euros buyout clause in his contract!

Now in a move that has the press speculating, Mangala has hired Jorge Mendes as his agent and the same agent as Jose Mourinho.

The fact that Mendes has been involved in previous deals between Chelsea and Porto will add to speculation next summer.

Mangala has impressed in Portugal after signing from Standard Liege two seasons ago and if he continues to do well, expect plenty of interest from the other big clubs in his services!
