So far this season we have seen the good the bad and the ugly from Chelsea but now is the time for some consistency.
So as we approach December here is the Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
The Good
After starting the season with a win there have been some highpoints including qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League, beating Manchester City in the league and the destruction of Arsenal in the League Cup.
Victory Over Man City
Beating your rivals is important, particularly if we want to challenge for the title.
Although not dominant the late mistake by Hart helped us record an important victory against a title contender giving the fans and the team a lift.
Tottenham Second Half
One of our best performances of the season was in the second half against Spurs. After going into the half a goal down we roared out of the blocks dominating the game.
Once John Terry equalised a winner seemed inevitable until Torres was sent off for a total nonsense with ten minutes to go. We held on for a point but this was the first sign of the top gear that we have not seen frequently so far this season.
Schalke Away
A great away day with balmy October weather seeing Chelsea fans in shorts and t-shirt as the Schalke defence took a holiday to give us a counter attacking victory. A brace from Fernando Torres suggested he could have a positive role to play this season.
Qualifying For The Champions League
Despite losing to Basel twice we are through to the group stages of the Champions League with a game to spare going into a run of 9 games in December.
This should allow a lot of rotation against the whipping boys of the group.
