Chelsea to give up Thibaut Courtois in exchange for Radamel Falcao?

Chelsea has half a mind to give up Thibaut Courtois in exchange for Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao and use the bargain an opening for further negotiation.

Although Courtois, the young Belgian player, has managed to catch a lot of attention with good performances helping Madrid to the Europa League title last season and second place in this season’s La Liga, Chelsea still seems to be ready to willingly sacrifice the man to bag the now popular Falcao by the end of this season.

However, even with their struggling-for-glory £50m striker Fernando Torres, Chelsea is seriously considering vouching over £47m for the Columbian, in addition to Thibaut Courtois, according to Spanish newspaper, El Economista.

Falcao has scored 22 goals in 21 matches with Atletico this season, including the Atletico – Rayo Vallecano match yesterday, while Fernando Torres has all but 15 goals scored in a total of 41 matches with Chelsea.

A cry of reconsideration seems like a good call, at the moment. What say?
