Johnathan Panzo set for Monaco switch
According to the Mirror, Chelsea are set to lose highly-rated youngster Johnathan Panzo to Ligue 1 club AS Monaco. The teenager has just 12 months remaining on his scholarship and has expressed his intent in moving abroad in search of first-team opportunities.
Monaco will pay a total of £2.5 million to acquire Panzo, who is a centre-half by trait but can also shift wide into the left back role. The 17 year old was part of the England squad that won the U17 World Cup last year in India.
Former Chelsea technical director and now AS Monaco sporting director, Michael Emenalo has played a key role in attracting Panzo to France as the Blues are resigned to losing a promising player from their academy.
