Courtois was on loan to Real’s rivals Atletico from Chelsea for three years as the young keeper developed an nurtured his abilities in Spain under Simeone. Two seasons ago though Chelsea brought the player back to Stamford Bridge to start his career at the West London club, and has taken no time to adapt to his surrounding winning the league in his first season followed by a turbulent second.
But Courtois is focused on the task at hand with Chelsea this season insisting Real Madrid talks are just nonsense. However, in a past interview with Onda Cero, Courtois claimed he is half Spanish, and a move back to Atletico in the future might be possible.
"Perhaps one day I can return - who knows? But right now I'm very happy at Chelsea,” said Courtois.
"I wish Atleti the best. I miss Madrid; I left many friends there, but I knew my future was in England." The team is doing well right now," Courtois added. "I want to win the title with Chelsea."
Chelsea is a strong contender to win the league this season, with Conte setting the standard defensively with three at the back and it working wonders for the Blues thus far this campaign, Courtois dream to win another Premier League trophy might become a reality.
