Last season’s UEFA Champions League winner Chelsea takes on Portuguese giants Benfica in Europe’s second tier tournament – Europa League. This year’s final take place in the Amsterdam Arena on 15th May. Chelsea is on the brink of history as they try to be the first club to win Champions League and Europa League in successive seasons. While Benfica will try to put behind the disappointment of losing the local league to rivals Porto to give their fans something to cheer for.
Both Chelsea and Benfica finished 3rd in their respective groups in the Champions League to qualify for the Europa League. Below shows Chelsea and Benfica’s road to the final in Amsterdam.
