Hit #2: Bernardo Silva
A lot of questions were asked about Bernardo Silva after his relatively poor performances last season. He was signed for a big amount from AS Monaco and him taking time to settle was not something pundits and fans weren't willing to accept.
Today, he showed his true colours. He was running the show for City and was finding gaps out of nowhere. He gave the Chelsea side a tough time and there was nothing any Chelsea player could do to stop him.
City have a long-term replacement for David Silva ready and it will be interesting to see if Bernardo can squeeze into the team this season. With Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling also returning, it is going to be very difficult for him.
Flop #2: Marcos Alonso
If there is one player in the Chelsea squad who is not fit for SarriBall, it has to be Marcos Alonso. There was nothing the Spanish defender was able to do right today.
He could not defend, he could not pass, and it takes him 5 crosses to get one right. Emerson Palmieri needs to be given a chance from the next game.
Right now, even getting back Baba Rahman from his loan at Schalke and putting him in the starting XI will be a better option than playing Alonso.
