#10 Reece James (Defender) - £100,000 per week

Frank Lampard’s first season in charge of Chelsea has seen him make plenty of use of their academy products. One such youngster who’s grabbed his chance under Lampard with both hands is defender Reece James. The 20-year-old has made 29 appearances this season, and recently inked a new deal with the Blues that reportedly pays him around £100k per week.

A versatile defender, James tends to be deployed as a right-back but can play anywhere across the back-line, as well as in midfield. A tremendous athlete with pace, power, and skills on the ball, it’s clear that the future is very bright for this prospect – and it’s easy to see why Chelsea have tied him up in the long term.

#9 Jorginho (Midfielder) - £103,846 per week

Could Jorginho's days at Chelsea be numbered?

Italian midfielder Jorginho was signed by Chelsea for £50m in the summer of 2018, and reportedly earns just under £104k per week. The metronomic passer was supposed to be the lynchpin of new boss Maurizio Sarri’s side, but quickly earned the ire of the fans for a number of poor performances in his debut season.

He’s fared a little better during the current campaign under Frank Lampard, but has seen his playing time slip somewhat. He’s made 37 appearances thus far, compared to 54 last season. With reports suggesting that he’s now seen as the “odd man out” in Chelsea’s midfield, he may well look to move on in the near future.

#8 Olivier Giroud (Striker) - £110,000 per week

Despite plenty of rumours linking him with a move away from Stamford Bridge, January saw Olivier Giroud sign an extension to his current deal, keeping him at Chelsea until 2021. The move appears to have been a good one for all parties, too.

The French veteran is reportedly earning a hefty £110k per week – making him one of the Blues’ highest earners. And he’s repaid them on the pitch, with 4 goals since the turn of the year. Giroud might be 33 years old, but it’s clear that he still has an important role to play at Chelsea for now at least.

#7 Tiemoue Bakayoko (Midfielder) - £110,000 per week

Ask any Chelsea fan about the club’s worst signings, and the name Tiemoue Bakayoko will probably be mentioned. The French midfielder joined the Blues from Monaco in the summer of 2017, but his time at the club has been an utter disaster.

After struggling for the Blues in his debut season, Bakayoko has been loaned to both AC Milan and back to Monaco. However, he’s failed to recapture the form that made Chelsea part with £40m for him. The likelihood is that the club will attempt to sell him soon – but it may be hard to find a buyer to match his £110k-per-week wages.

#6 Antonio Rudiger (Defender) - £115,385 per week

Since joining Chelsea in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £29m, Germany international Antonio Rudiger has become a key player for the Blues. The 27-year-old is the most experienced man in Chelsea’s defence, and is now the player that Frank Lampard looks towards to keep things solid at the back. After returning from injury this season, he’s practically been an ever-present.

Currently on a contract reportedly worth £115k per week, Rudiger is one of Chelsea’s highest paid stars. But he’s also a player who the club have struggled to do without in the current campaign – meaning he’s likely to be at Stamford Bridge for a long time yet.

#5 Callum Hudson-Odoi (Winger) - £120,000 per week

For a while at least, it looked like Chelsea would end up losing Callum Hudson-Odoi. The 19-year-old winger burst onto the scene via the Blues’ academy and made his first-team debut in 2017-18. However, he found opportunities hard to come by under Maurizio Sarri despite scoring 5 goals in a handful of appearances.

With his deal set to expire in the summer of 2020, Bayern Munich were reportedly waiting in the wings to snap him up. But thanks to new boss Frank Lampard’s willingness to make use of his younger stars, the winger made a u-turn in late 2019.

He inked a new deal reportedly worth around £120k per week – increasing his salary by 400%. And while an Achilles injury has slowed down his development, it’s clear that big things are to come for this ultra-talented youngster.

#4 Willian (Winger) - £138,462 per week

A Chelsea player since the summer of 2013, Brazilian winger Willian could finally be set to depart Stamford Bridge this summer. His current £138k-per-week deal expires at the end of the season, and as of the time of writing, he has yet to agree a new deal.

At the age of 31 it might make sense for Chelsea to let him go. He’s been an excellent servant for the club – scoring 63 goals and making over 300 appearances – but is probably nearing the end of his prime. If he does leave, he will be remembered as a hugely successful player, since he has won two Premier League titles in his time at the club.

#3 N’Golo Kante (Midfielder) - £144,231 per week

One of just two players to win back-to-back top flight titles in England with two different clubs, N’Golo Kante joined Chelsea from Leicester in the summer of 2016. The Blues parted with £32m to bring him to Stamford Bridge, but that fee was repaid quickly with the 2016-17 Premier League title.

One of the finest holding midfielders in the world, Kante’s abilities are phenomenal. At his best, nobody comes close to him when it comes to breaking up opposition attacks and winning the ball back for his team. With a contract running until 2023, he should be a key player for Chelsea for years to come.

#2 Kepa Arrizabalaga (Goalkeeper) - £150,000 per week

Kepa Arrizabalaga's position has been called into question this season

Chelsea broke the world record transfer fee for a goalkeeper in 2018 when they signed Kepa Arrizabalaga for just over £71m. It should hardly come as a surprise, then, that he’s the club’s second highest earner with a contract reportedly worth £150k per week.

Unfortunately, the Spaniard has yet to truly justify his fee and contract at Stamford Bridge. The 25-year old performed solidly in his first season, but he has struggled in the 2019-20 campaign. At one stage he had the lowest save percentage of any Premier League goalkeeper, and he was even dropped in favour of backup keeper Willy Caballero for a time.

Kepa has now been restored to Chelsea’s first-choice berth – but he could certainly find himself on the outside looking in unless his form dramatically improves soon.

#1 Christian Pulisic (Winger) - £158,654 per week

Chelsea’s highest earner at the current time is reportedly American winger Christian Pulisic. Signed from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around £58m, the 21-year-old brought a big reputation with him to Stamford Bridge. Thankfully for Chelsea fans, thus far he’s largely lived up to the bill.

Despite an injury keeping him out for a period of time, the American international has had a fantastic debut season. He’s scored 8 goals and registered 3 assists in 27 appearances, and has quickly established himself as a key man for the Blues.

With veteran wingers Willian and Pedro looking set to depart the club this summer, Pulisic will become even more important in the 2020-21 campaign. But judging by his form this season, he’s more than capable of carrying their mantle forward.
