Chelsea's Hazard-duo(s)

helsea who spent big this summer will be happy with the way their newly acquired guns have been firing . Victor moses , Cesar Azpilicueta, Oscar, Marko Marin, and Kevin de Bruyne have all been brought to Stamford Bridge to bolster the team and more importantly to retain the Champions League. But this article will be centered around two players : the Hazard brothers – Eden and Thorgun one already established , the other yet to walk in his brothers footsteps.

EDEN HAZARD : Born on 7th January 1991 to Belgian football players, the older of the Hazard brothers has already made himself a indispensable part of the men in blue .With just three appearances in the premier league, he already has a goal and six assist to his name. A splendid way to spend 32 million euros, the men behind the Chelsea administration must be delighted the influence this attacking mid fielder/winger has on the game. Eden hazard with his ability to control and dribble the ball complimented with his pace is and will be the player Chelsea will be depending on at least for the upcoming season(s). He’s often described as a defenders nightmare with his pace and control.

He joined Lille in 2005 when he was scouted from Turbize (Belgian youth club) by club agents, where he spent almost 8 years grooming his skills. At Lille, there was no player who could match Hazard’s skill. He became the youngest goal scorer in the clubs history and won two consecutive National Union of Professional Football (UNFP) Young Player award, the first non-french player to win the award. In 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons he won the senior edition of the same award and in consecutive seasons , which made him the highest paid player in Ligue 1.

Eden is technically gifted and very fast .He will be a major star in the future and I would take him to Real Madrid with my eyes closed – Zinedine Zidane

THORGUN HAZARD: Born on 29 MARCH 1993, two years younger to Eden, Thorgun Ganael Francis Hazard is the second child of the four sons born to Carine and Thierry Hazard . Like his sibling, Thorgan was scouted from Turbize by Lille’s arch-rivals Lens where he spent almost three years there before he was bought by Chelsea for a sum of 880,000 euros. The midfielder/winger is now sent on loan to Zulte Waregen (Belgian first division club) to gain more first team experience as he has appeared only 14 times for Lens. Lens youth coach Eric Assadourian stated that Thorgun is a technically gifted player, who can settle a match by himself with ease. The grape vine has it that Thorgun’s game is more mature than Eden’s was when he was about the same age as Thorgun. The older Hazard is waiting eagerly for his kid brother to return to Chelsea and play alongside him just like they used to play as kids. Tactically speaking, Chelsea has a Hazard for the present and one for the near future, both extremely talented, driven and most likely to compliment each others game due to years of experience playing together. For the moment I see Hazard lurking venomously somewhere in the middle as an attacking midfielder or along the side as a winger, once Thorgun is back and establish himself in the Chelsea starting XI, its very likely that the Hazards will run the show at Stamford Bridge, bringing back memories of the training ground which was no more than three metres from their home.

And just in case two Hazards don’t seem to be enough for Chelsea, two more are on their way of achieving their dream of playing professional football – Kylian Hazard (16) and Ethan Hazard (7) – that is if they can keep other teams from getting to them first!
