Chelsea striker Demba Ba has admitted that Jose Mourinho has a tough job on his hands to get his strikers to start scoring more goals. Ba, Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o have five Premier League goals between them this season while Romelu Lukaku has eight on-loan at Everton.
The Senegalese forward also confessed that Mourinho will find it difficult to give each striker enough time on the pitch in order for them to score more goals. All three’s poor goal return means each of them need to be given a chance to shine for a prolonged period, but how long is too long?
“We have a few strikers. Everyone wants and needs to play,” the Senegalese toldAfrikan Soccer. “Potentially we can be top [at Christmas] as we are two points behind. We are going game by game.”
There are reports that Mourinho is in the market for a new striker in the January transfer window with Porto’s Jackson Martinez apparently on the radar.
