Two-time Indian Super League champions Chennaiyin FC and Sarva, India’s leading yoga studio, have come together to promote yoga in football and sport overall. Sarva is CFC’s official yoga partner.
Chennaiyin FC and Sarva organised a meet and greet for CFC fans with first team stars Eli Sabia, Germanpreet Singh and Laldinliana Renthlei at the Sarva Yoga Studio in Chennai on Monday. It was a fun and engaging event where the players interacted with their fans and showcased their yoga skills too.
Aditya Dhillon, the Chief Operating Officer of Sarva and Bibhuti Acharya the Vice President – Marketing of Sarva were present at the event.
“We believe yoga is beneficial to a professional athlete as it enables them to strengthen their concentration, foster a calm and relaxed mind, and enhance the mind-body connection allowing an athlete to have greater muscle coordination and fluidity of movement” said Aditya Dhillon.
“This is the first time ever a yoga brand has associated with an Indian Super League outfit. People in India don’t tend to think of yoga and sport as going hand in hand. We are trying to bring yoga and mindfulness, closer to all the athletes and sports in India” said Bibhuti Acharya.
“As a football team, fitness is at the core of our daily routine and yoga surely helps in preserving and enhancing the same. And attending the meet and greet today was a lot of fun.
"It is always a pleasure to meet the fans and thank them for their unconditional support. We would also like to thank Sarva for supporting us and wish them all the best in their endeavours,” said India and CFC midfielder Germanpreet Singh on the side-lines of the event.
“Chennaiyin FC is proud to associate with Sarva and is a huge admirer of the work they do to promote yoga and healthy living. We hope our association with Sarva prospers in the coming years as we continue to reap the benefits of their expertise and excellence,” said Govindan Radhakrishnan, Managing Director at Chennaiyin FC.
