Chiellini gets bit again, but this time it isn't Suarez

Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini seems to have moved on from being bitten on the pitch by Luis Suarez. The Uruguay striker had dug his teeth into the Juventus centre-back's shoulder during their Group clash on Tuesday. But Chiellini poked fun at the infamous incident by posting a picture of him getting bit by a hotel maid.

The Italy veteran was all smiles as the hotel maid dug her teeth on his shoulder, just like Suarez had done in Natal. At that time the 29-year-old was outraged at Suarez's behaviour, and to make things worse the Liverpool star hadn't received any card for his action. In the post-match conference a fuming Chiellini had said: "It was ridiculous not to send Suarez off. It is clear, clear-cut and then there was the obvious dive afterwards because he knew very well that he did something that he shouldn’t have done."

Suarez has now been suspended for four months from all football activities by governing body FIFA. He has also been handed a £65,700 fine for the incident. The 2013-14 EPL top-scorer will now miss the first nine games of the upcoming EPL season for Liverpool.

And while football authorities are punishing the 27-year-old Uruguayan for his antics, Chiellini doesn't seem to be able to stop smiling now. Uruguay may have knocked out four-time champions Italy out of the World Cup, but it is Chiellini who is having the last laugh.

Elsewhere, Brazil striker Fred also took a dig at Suarez as he bit teammate Marcelo during a training session. The Fluminense striker bit the Real Madrid left-back's arm as Neymar played an amused witness.

Also joining in the biting bandwagon was Hollywood comedian Will Ferrell. 'The Other Guys' star had proclaimed in front of cheering American fans that he would bite every German player in order for a USA win at their group tie. Germany went on to beat USA 1-0 in their last Group G encounter on Thursday, but Ferrel still has to live up to his words.

Inspite of the loss, Jurgen Klinsmann's men have progressed into the Round of 16, and next face Belgium on 2 July at Arena Fonte Nova, Salvador.
