Ciaran Clark to stay with Aston Villa

23-year-old defender Ciaran Clark signed a new three-year deal with his current club Aston Villa on Thursday.

Signing the new deal confirms Clark’s stay at the English side till 2016.

“Everyone’s at the stage now where we just want to get out and play and the competition for places is tougher than it’s been these past few seasons, no doubt about that,” Clark said.

Clark, who graduated from Bodymoor Health, is happy signing the new deal and said the side is up for the new season challenge.

“This season will be another tough challenge but we have the players and we have a good young squad, everyone is hungry for it, we’re working as hard as we can and we can’t wait to start,” he added.
