"Clearly playing against us", "What is he good at?" - Fans turn against Real Madrid star after 3-3 draw with Rayo Vallecano

Fans on social media have called out Aurelien Tchouameni following Real Madrid's 3-3 draw against Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga on December 14. Tchouameni was poor as a makeshift centre-back, registering only one defensive interception throughout the game.

Unai Lopez opened the scoring for Rayo Vallecano in the fourth minute following a pass from Jorge de Frutos. In the 36th minute, Abdul Mumin doubled the home side's lead. Federico Valverde was able to restore Real Madrid's hopes after scoring from range in the 39th minute, following a pass from Arda Guler.

On the brink of halftime (45), Jude Bellingham made it 2-2 after receiving a pass from Rodrygo. In the 56th minute, Rodrygo gave Madrid the lead after being set up by Guler. Isi Palazon made it 3-3 in the 64th minute after receiving a decent pass from Florian Lejeune.

In 90 minutes on the pitch, Tchouameni's passing accuracy was 92% (77/84). He lost possession of the ball 10 times and registered 96 touches.

Fans took to X to express their dissatisfaction with the Frenchman's performance, with one tweeting:

"The fact tchouameni was gone for a few weeks and carlo tried the academy but now hierarchy is fucking us all over. just so unnecessary, he doesn't even sub him off when he is clearly playing against us."

"Tchouameni is producing an all time disasterclass but Asensii20 is too busy tweeting about Pedri," a fan added.

"With Raul Ascencio we only conceded 1 goal in 4 games in La liga? How did Ancelotti reward him? By benching for next 3 games just to play a midfielder as a cb. If Tchouameni didn't get injured Ascencio wouldn't even get a single minute this season. Ancelotti is the problem," another added.

With the draw, Real Madrid missed a great opportunity to go to the top of the league table. They trail leaders Barcelona by one point and lead third-placed Atletico Madrid by two points.

Ahead of Los Blancos’ 3-3 draw against Rayo Vallecano, Vinicius Junior had accumulated four yellow cards. The Brazilian picked up his fifth yellow card of the LaLiga 2024-25 campaign in the 74th minute against Vallecano.

According to Managing Madrid, the 24-year-old would miss Madrid's upcoming clash against Sevilla FC due to an accumulation of yellow cards. His potential absence could be a big blow for Madrid due to the key role that he plays in attack. In 20 appearances this season, Vinicius has netted 13 goals and registered nine assists.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe might also be unavailable due to a hamstring problem. Los Blancos will take on Sevilla at the Bernabeu on Sunday, December 22.
