Chelsea beat Tottenham 3-0 last night with goals from Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba and Loic Remy to equal a club record 23 match unbeaten run. Despite all Tottenham's possession, it was Chelsea who showed just how ruthless they can be!Yes Tottenham had the better of the opening 15-18 minutes of the game, Yes Tottenham created far too many chances in that period for my liking and yes Tottenham dominated possession of the ball but as we have seen, it's goals that win you games. What really impressed me personally about the performance last night, and Mourinho said the same afterwards, was our ability to pick off our opponents and to know the right time to do it.We know that Chelsea are for the most part, defensively sound and when not in possession of the ball, they make it very difficult for opponents to break them down. Tottenham, but for two instances, couldn't do it and struggled to find that killer pass, particularly in the second half. Thibaut Courtois was called into action just the once late on.In the first half however, Harry Kane had two really good chances to score but couldn't find the net. Once he headed over the bar from close range and the second, his header hit the crossbar and rebounded to safety. However, questions do need to be asked as to why he had a free header for the second! After that point, Chelsea found their feet and again it was Oscar and Eden Hazard who really shone in our performance. Eden Hazard scored our first after a one-two with Didier Drogba literally opened up the Spurs defence and his left foot effort forced it's way underneath Loris in goal into the net to make it 1-0.Our second was just as good. A miss-hit goal kick found Hazard who controls the ball instantly. He passes forward to Oscar and he spins, turns and sees Drogba on the shoulder of the defender, plays a perfect ball through to him and he takes a touch and slams the ball home under pressure to make it 2-0 and it's more or less game over. For all of Tottenham's possession, they fail to cause Chelsea real problems and we make them pay with a third from Loic Remy. After some decent possession down our left hand side, the ball is played over the top to Remy who beats his defender to the ball. On the edge of the box, he turns inside, holds off the challenge and slots the ball past Loris to make it 3-0.Being honest, the result was never in question and extends the visitors poor record at the Bridge to 25 years!Chelsea were not at their best last night and were without Diego Costa but still really impressed in this one!
