Video: "Come Home Ronaldo" banner flies over Ronaldo but did he even see it?

Desperation or just plain and simple love?

A group of Manchester United supporters called United Reel have spent £3,000 to showcase a flying banner that reads “Come Home Ronaldo” during Real Madrid’s Spanish League tie against Villareal.

The plane-banner was sighted by almost everyone at the Estadio El Madrigal, but did they get Ronaldo’s attention?

Fans from countries like UAE, Lebanon and Egypt have funded the plan as part of the United Reel's #bringronaldohome campaign. This is not the first time the fans have used a flying banner to voice an opinion. A banner reading “Wrong One – Moyes Out” was flown over Old Trafford in March earlier this year during the Scottish manager’s ill-fated reign.

According to reports, local police are now investigating the plane as it didn’t have the permit to fly over the stadium.
