KHP Consulting, a company part of the team that organises the German Grand Prix, has some good news for Germans who like both football and formula one.
The company is offering fans an €11 discount for every goal scored by Germany in their 7-1 demolition of Brazil in the FIFA World Cup semi-final. Braces from Toni Kroos and Andre Schurrle, along with goal apiece from Miroslav Klose, Thomas Muller and Sami Khedira gave Die Mannschaft a 7-1 win and a berth in the final, their first since 1990.
The loss was a heartbreak for hosts Brazil, as they were humiliated at the Belo Horizonte. In absence of skipper Thiago Silva and talisman Neymar, the Selecao suffered their worst loss in 94 years. The last time they were subjected to a 6-goal loss was way back in 1920, against Uruguay in the Copa America.
And now German firm KHP consulting rub more salt in Brazil's wounds, by announcing a discount for every goal the hosts conceeded. The company on its Twitter page gave away a link along with the code 'Deutschland gewinnt' - which translates as 'Germany wins'.
Fans who are interested in taking up the offer, will have to enter the code while purchasing tickets. The company will then later choose (probably through a lucky draw) as to who gets to avail the offer.
The German Grand Prix is scheduled for July 20 at Hockenheim. German national and Mercedes racer Nico Rosberg is currently at top of the F1 driver's standings, with compatriots Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) at 6th and Force India's Nico Hulkenberg at 7th.
