#5 Lucas Torreira ( Uruguay )
Lucas Torreira built a reputation for himself during his Sampdoria days when he became increasingly important for the Italian side in the 2017/18 season. His relentless work rate attracted interest from clubs all over Europe and he was signed up by Arsenal soon after.
In his first season with Arsenal, he grew by leaps and bounds as a player and became almost indispensable to the Gunners in the first half of the season. However, things went downhill for Arsenal, as they were unable to finish in the top four of the Premier League and also lost the Europa League final to Chelsea.
The diminutive Uruguayan would be looking to make a mark in the Copa America. His capability to move into dangerous positions coupled with the skill to open up defenses with a deft pass, makes him the ideal workhorse in the lineup. Moreover, his defensive work rate and tenacity make him an absolutely daunting force in the middle of the park. His performances would be vital to Uruguay's chances of lifting the title.
