It has been a tough month for Barcelona fans so far.
The wounds of their team's loss to Anfield are still fresh, and despite majority of them wanting Ernesto Valverde to leave, the Spaniard coach has been backed heavily by the board and the senior players, including Messi himself.
However, the team would like to put that loss behind and look forward to the Copa del Rey final against Valencia to win their second domestic double in a row.
The Lineup
Valverde is under serious pressure to win this final and he knows that it won't be a cakewalk for his team at all. While majority of their key players like Luis Suarez, Nelson Semedo, Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho and Arthur Melo are injured and are travelling without medical clearance; Valencia are a tricky opposition and can be a real threat on quick transitions and counter attacks.
So this is how Valverde may line up for tomorrow's final:
With ample options in midfield and pretty few in attack, Valverde looks set to go with a flat 4-4-2 formation, with four central midfielders in it and Malcom and Messi upfront. However, a lack of focal point in Barcelona's attack might hurt them in this game, given the low amount of playing time Malcom has recieved this season.
With Coutinho and Arthur injured, La Masia graduate Carles Alena might get a well deserved start in the middle of the park alongside Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets.
In defence, the absence of Nelson Semedo means that Sergi Roberto would be the undisputed starter, while the rest of the defence picks itself.
In goal, Jasper Cillessen would be the most likely option in the absence of ter Stegen and he would most probably play his final game for Barcelona tomorrow.
While Barcelona are clear favorites going into this game, they need to be wary of Valencia's recent form in order to win the trophy.
