Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has given his approval to renew his contract with the Saudi outfit, according to journalist Ali Almarshud. As a part of this decision, the 39-year-old will only ply his trade for the Knights of Najd in the Saudi Pro League instead of joining their local rivals.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 as a free agent following his controversial exit from Manchester United two months earlier. The Portuguese ace signed a two-and-a-half-year deal until the summer of 2025, worth £173 million per year.

Ronaldo has individually flourished at the club to date, scoring 67 goals and providing 18 assists in 75 appearances across competitions. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has failed to win any official silverware, being largely overshadowed by rivals Al-Hilal.

Many fans expected Cristiano Ronaldo to run down his contract and leave Al-Nassr next summer to end his incredible career on a high note elsewhere. However, he has now reportedly approved a contract extension which would see him stay in the Saudi Pro League beyond the summer of 2025 when his current contract ends.

Cristiano Ronaldo invites former Manchester United star Paul Pogba to join him at Al-Nassr following doping ban reduction: Reports

Manchester United great Cristiano Ronaldo has invited Juventus star Paul Pogba to join him at Al-Nassr next year, according to TuttoJuve (via GOAL). The two stars played with each other during their time together at Old Trafford, sharing the pitch a total of 20 times across competitions.

Pogba's career appeared to be over when he was handed a shock four-year ban for doping in September 2023. Fortunately for the Frenchman, this was recently reduced to 18 months following a successful appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport. He is now set to return to football in March 2025.

However, Pogba no longer appears to have a future at Juventus with club director Cristiano Giuntoli confirming the same. The 31-year-old reportedly has multiple options lined up, including a possible transfer to Lionel Messi's Inter Miami.

But Cristiano Ronaldo has allegedly personally invited Pogba to join him at Al-Nassr. The latter's creativity would be a massive boost for the Knights of Najd as they look to close the gap on Al-Hilal. They are currently third in the league table with 18 points from eight games, six points behind leaders Al-Hilal.
