The guy is only human.
Frustration surely gets to everyone, and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is not an exception. During Real Madrid’s Super Cup second leg encounter with Atletico Madrid, things were getting heated up for the Los Blancos who were finding it hard to find an equaliser after Mario Manduzkic had scored in the first two minutes of the game itself.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who had started the match from the bench after suffering a muscle injury in midweek, came on as a substitute to Toni Kroos in the second half. Minutes before the incident, Real Madrid were already down to 10 men following a second yellow to Luka Modric during the 90th minute of the match.
It was during the 94th minute of the match when Ronaldo appeared to have punched Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin in the face after Real Madrid were awarded a corner. Ronaldo was lucky enough to escape booking as the punishment could have been much more severe.

A similar incident had happened in the first leg as well when Sergio Ramos was seen to have hit Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic in the face with both of his hands. Both Ramos and Mandzukic were issued yellow cards, however, from how it looks like in the highlights, the Spanish defender is lucky to have not been sent off.
