Cristiano Ronaldo is Real Madrid’s greatest player and will win a fifth Ballon d’Or award in the future says Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane. The Portuguese superstar claimed his 4th Ballon d'Or award on Monday after beating long time rival Lionel Messi who came second.
The 31-year-old star had a historic season last time where he became Madrid’s record goalscorer, won the Champions League, Euro 2016 and the UEFA Super Cup. Ronaldo even described it as the ‘Best season’ of his career.
Now, his manager Zidane believes that it is not wrong to consider the forward as the greatest Real Madrid player of all time.
"He has amazing motivation. He always wants to win, even in friendly games or in training," Zidane said on Wednesday.
"Any player could come to Real Madrid and they will never achieve what he has. It's not an exaggeration to say he is the best in Madrid's history.
"And the four Ballons d'Or - chapeau. I think he'll win it again."

Real Madrid are currently in Yokohama, Japan preparing for the Club World Cup semi-final against Club America as they look to end 2016 with another title. Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has now revealed that the players are desperate to win a trophy to cap off the superb year Real Madrid and Zidane have had.
"It has huge importance for us. Real Madrid play every competition to win," he said.
"The fans are getting behind us really well, although we're very focused on the competition.
"I feel good, I've played a few matches. I'm at one hundred per cent, just like the other players.
"We want to finish the year well with this competition. We've had a great year and we have to win. We're humble but we always play to win."

Real Madrid have had many legends play for them over the year right from Alfredo Di Stefano to Zinedine Zidane himself, but Ronaldo with his stupendous performances over the last 6 years has firmly cemented his legacy at Santiago Bernabeu.
