Ronaldo's six-year spell at Old Trafford displayed him as one of the best players to have ever played for the English giants. During his time at United, he won the Champions League, A FIFA Club World Cup, three consecutive Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups. Try and name a handful of players that have achieved all of that in the space of six years.

Ronaldo moved on to join Madrid in 2009 for a fee of £80 million which at the time was a record fee for a football player. Since leaving United there have been many transfer rumors of Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford especially in the summer of 2017 where reports came through of the 32-year-old wanting to join up with red's manager Jose Mourinho.

If United were still interested in bringing back the five-time Ballon d'Or winner then they may just be the favorites to get his contract. United have shown by signing the likes of Di Maria, Paul Pogba, and Romelu Lukaku that they are willing to spend money while being just as big as Madrid in terms of financial status.

United has a special place in Ronaldo's heart and the possibility of a return could be very likely.
