Ronaldo has reportedly called his former Real Madrid teammate Raphael Varane to join him at Juventus. The French defender has been subject to numerous speculations and his future in the Spanish capital is said to be uncertain, despite him still starting regularly for both club and country.

Europe's biggest clubs such as Manchester United, PSG, and Juventus are keen to snap up the 25-year-old. However, Juventus might have the upper hand in the transfer saga due to the presence of Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar and the Frenchman had played together for years in Los Blancos's shirt, with the duo winning several major trophies, including 3-consecutive Champions League titles.

The report also states that Varane's current release clause stands at a whopping €500 million and would likely cost Juve more than €90 million if the Old Lady are seriously interested in his services.
