Cristiano Ronaldo has been accused of moving 150 million Euros from rights image contracts into offshore accounts and Barcelona legend Xavi expressed shock at those allegations and the amount of money involved.
Speaking in an interview with RAC1, Xavi said:
“It surprises me the thing with Cristiano, it’s a stratospheric figure.”
Xavi also went on to say he always did things within the law.
“I’ve always tried to do things in line with the law, but even so, the tax office could consider they haven’t been done accordingly.”

This is not the first time Xavi and Ronaldo have clashed. Apart from these tax issues, Xavi had miffed the Real Madrid star when he had claimed Ronaldo could never be on the same level as Lionel Messi.
In an earlier interview in September, Xavi had said:
"Ronaldo is a player of his time, the problem is that there is another who has been pretty much the best player in history," Xavi told Spanish sources
"Ronaldo is extraordinary, but compared to Messi, for me and for everyone who likes football, there can be no comparisons.
"Messi will be number one until he wants. He's superior to everyone and is the best in the world unless you are Real Madrid."

These quotes had drawn an angry response from Ronaldo who had said:
"Everyone knows that anyone who wants to make the front pages has to talk about me, Xavi has not won a single Ballon d'Or. I have won three.”
However, the war of words did not end just there with Xavi laughing off the Portuguese star’s claims in an interview a few weeks later:
“I saw that Cristiano didn’t take that very well but I still think the same. What he said about his Ballons d’Or is true as well. I try not to make mistakes but my opinion changes. I didn’t lack respect towards him. Did he towards me? What do you think?”
It is quite clear for everyone to see that Ronaldo and Xavi do not see eye to eye, and these latest quotes from the Barcelona legend will definitely not please Cristiano Ronaldo.
