Cristiano Ronaldo's presence in the team is equal to a one goal lead: Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti believes that his side enjoy a one goal advantage from start whenever Ronaldo is in the team. The Real Madrid ace has been in scintillating form this season and has already scored 17 goals in all competitions this season.

Ronaldo has been scoring at will this season and looks the frontrunner for the Ballond’Or.

“It’s hard to say who is the best-ever because things change over time, the technique...but right now Ronaldo is the best player in the world. You can’t compare him with Pele or [Diego] Maradona.

“With Cristiano it’s not easy to rotate him. Statistics tell you that when he plays we almost always score, so you could think that when the game starts we are already 1-0 up.

“He’s a player who has a great capacity to recover [from injury] and is a great professional,” explained Ancelotti.
