As crazy it may sound but bookies have slashed the odds for Sergio Ramos joining Chelsea next summer in a reported £30million deal. According to Daily Star, Florentino Perez is planning a massive squad overhaul next summer and wants to sell his 30-year-old skipper. Antonio Conte wants a strong defender to lead his back four and Ramos is seen as the ideal fit.
According to Ladbrokes, the odds on Ramos joining Chelsea by the end of summer 2017 have been cut from 5/1 to just 7/2. Ramos was previously linked with a switch to Premier League when Manchester United came close to signing him under Louis van Gaal.
Wait, Liverpool are chasing Sergio Ramos as well?
It seems Spanish media is convinced of Real Madrid cutting ties with Sergio Ramos next summer and Premier League clubs are prepared to put in big money bids to sign him. Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the Spanish star who is on the verge of quitting the club, according to Fichajes.
Ramos is likely to cost the suitors around £30million in transfer fee but convincing the player to join them could be the real test.
Robin van Persie on the move again
According to reports from Metro, Robin van Persie is close to joining the Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune, who are ready to offer £10.8 million for the 33-year-old striker. Fenerbahce are set to make a £7.8m profit on the Dutchman who joined the Turkish side from Manchester United last summer for a fee of £3.8m.
Van Persie was linked with a Premier League return this summer with Leicester and Stoke City interested in his services.
Sevilla to sign Arsenal target in January
Sevilla have lined up a January bid for the in-demand Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup. The 24-year-old star is also linked with Arsenal as Santi Cazorla's replacement who is rumoured to join Juventus on a free transfer next summer.
