- Manchester United have decided to buy a replacement for French left-back Patrice Evra. If rumours are to be believed the club is all set to target Sevilla’s 17-year-old Alberto Moreno, who recently made his international debut for Spain. Although, Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido had already declared that Moreno would not be sold unless someone meets his £ 25 million release clause. (Express)
- Valencia’s central midfielder, Ever Banega’s agent had declared that his client was looking to move in the January transfer window. This news has put top English clubs, Manchester United, Arsenal and Southampton on high alert. - Ex-Chelsea boss, Rafa Benitez has targeted his ex-pupil Cesar Azpilicueta as their winter signing. Benitez was highly impressed by the Spanish right-back’s performance during his tenure at the club. Azpilicueta has only featured three times in the Premier League this season under new manager Jose Mourinho, but netted his first Chelsea goal in last week’s Capital One Cup victory over rivals Arsenal . The 24-year-old is desperate to secure himself a place in the Spanish squad for the 2014 World Cup next summer and Benitez would attempt to sign him to Italy with the guarantee of first-team football.
