Diego Costa is on Chelsea’s radar for the Winter transfer window

Guardian reports that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is done chasing Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and is now in pursuit of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa, who surprisingly happens to be the top scorer in the La Liga so far. It is being said that the Blues could render the Brazilian’s services for £35 million.

Tottenham Hotspurs are reportedly in pursuit of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke and had bid £22 million on the Belgian but they have now raised it to £28 million. Addition of a striker with considerable experience in the Premier League could strengthen the already strong Spurs squad as Soldado is still finding his rhythm and settling into the Premier League, slowly.

Daily Express reports Manchester City and Chelsea are looking to sign Paris Saint Germain’s 26-year-old midfielder Blaise Mataudi as his contract with the French club ends in 2014. Chelsea are already filled with midfield talents with many not getting enough chances to play. Not sure what they would do with another midfielder.

Southampton look to rekindle their offer on Cagliari’s Italian defender Davide Astori as they look to woo the center back to England in January. They had considered signing him in the Summer reports Daily Mirror.

Arsenal and Liverpool are trying to woo talented Brazilian 22-year-old Jorginho from Serie A club Verona to England reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
