Barcelona full-back, Dani Alves, uploaded a cheeky Instagram post speaking about how Barcelona will overcome Sevilla in the Liga with nothing but teamwork. The post comes after media from across the globe broke the news about Cristiano Ronaldo claiming his team would've beaten Atletico Madrid had everyone 'been as good' as him.
The Real Madrid star made these rather unacceptable statements following their 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu where he claimed "If everyone was like me, we'd be first," even though he missed two clear opportunities in front of goal.
However, Ronaldo retracted those comments later that night by citing the amount of the injuries that has hit Real Madrid's top players including Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Karim Benzema and more.
Alves, meanwhile, took to Instagram and put up a picture of the whole Barcelona squad having a bit of fun training at the Emirates before their Champions League against Arsenal with the caption "The greatness of a team is in the respect and the complicity we have. Together we were, are and will be whatever we want."
Barcelona were to face Sevilla later that night – the last opponents who defeated them in the Liga – and Alves signed off with a reference to said game saying: "A very important day. Let's go, let's go family."
El Clasico dates decided
Meanwhile, officials at Liga have released the date for the next El Clasico. Barcelona beat Real Madrid 4-0 at the Bernabeu earlier this season and will look to do the double when they take on Real Madrid at the Camp Nou on April 2nd.
What's interesting is that Barcelona will have to play the quarter-finals of the Champions League just three days after the Clasico.
