The agent of Liverpool’s Daniel Agger has hinted that the defender is interested in a move to Barcelona as whispers of his departure continue to grow.
Liverpool’s manager Brendan Rodgers, praised Agger for his loyalty last week, even as the Spanish champions, who are in the search of a centre-back, are continued to be linked with the Denmark international.
Barcelona placed an offer of £14.6 million for Agger, which was swiftly rejected by Liverpool. But Per Steffensen, Agger’s agent confirmed that the club might consider a transfer if a fee can be agreed upon.
“We are aware that Barcelona have made an offer for Daniel that Liverpool have rejected,” Steffensen was quoted as saying in the Guardian.
“Daniel has a contract with Liverpool for the next three years and it would be up to the clubs to agree a fee for his transfer in order for that to change.”
