Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is believed to have put up his mansion for sale which has further fuelled the rumours of an impending move to Real Madrid. The Madrid-born shot-stopper who was using a six-bedroom mansion has put the house on sale which is believed to be valued at £2.75m.
The house has a games room, home cinema, gym and three reception rooms. This latest development could be a sign that the Spanish keeper is ready to move to Madrid. The future of De Gea has been one of the biggest talking points in this transfer window with Manchester United trying to hold onto their keeper while Madrid are trying to prise him away.
The 24-year-old's current contract with the Old Trafford outfit is set to expire at the end of next season. The keeper did not sign a new £200,000-a-week contract which was offered by the Red Devils.
The transfer speculation has been going on for months and one of the reports have been suggesting that De Gea wanted to move back to Madrid to be closer to his girlfriend. The former Atletico Madrid keeper would find it hard to turn down an offer to move back to his home city.
United would not want to lose him on a free transfer and Real Madrid are keen on the young keeper as a long-term replacement for Iker Casillas. Manchester United may, in fact, try to use the situation in their favour by negotiating for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos in return. The Real Madrid vice-captain is also in the middle of a contract tussle with the club and is reportedly looking to leave the club.
