The present Manchester United Chief Executive, David Gill has been elected without any opposition to the UEFA Chief Executive Committee. David has served Machester United for 10 long years and is bound to leave the club’s management on 30 June, 2013. The Executive Committee of UEFA has a total of 8 members, one of them will be the newly appointed David Gill.
The club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward stated that David Gill is the perfect candidate for the job and his skills and expertise can be utilized in the matters of the European football association. David Gill may have vacated the Chief Executive seat in the Old Trafford outfit but will remain as a member of the Board of Directors, following the footsteps of retired manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.
