David Moyes makes changes in Manchester United backroom staff

Liverpool v Everton - Premier League

The Sun reports that David Moyes has already started to make changes in the Manchester United outfit, this time in the backroom staff department. Ferguson’s most trusted employees, Mike Phelan and Eric Steele, have been asked to leave the Manchester United outfit. They are being replaced by their counterparts from Everton. Chris Woods and Jimmy Lumsden seem to be the prime candidates to occupy the vacant positions. The most shocking departure is that of Mike Phelan (Fergie’s No.2), who has more than 12 years of service here in United.

David Moyes wants a mixture of old and new coaching staff. Rene Meulensteen, Warren Joyce and Tony Strudwick may also follow Phelan out of the Old Trafford regiment in the upcoming days.
