It hasn’t been the best of days for David Moyes at Manchester United. ‘The Chosen One’ arrived at Old Trafford with much hope and enthusiasm but the season has not gone according to plan for the Scot.
For a team that has hardly ever lost consecutive games and also made Old Trafford a fortress in recent seasons, the 2013-14 season has been one to forget for the Red Devils.
- United lost to Newcastle at home for the first time since 1972.
- United lost to West Brom at home for the first time since 1978.
- United lost to Everton at home for the first time since 1992.
- United lost to Swansea at home for the first time ever!
- United lost to Stoke City for the first time since 1984.
- United lost three times in a row for the first time since 2001.
Although it’s nice to see fans supporting the manager, will there come a time when one says, “Enough is enough”? Sir Alex was already winning trophies before coming to Manchester United. But Moyes? Not exactly.
But on the other hand, he still has the best record in terms of number of games won in their first 30 games. So does he need more time?
